Many pieces of furniture in our range are designed by us or have been commissioned especially for us. It's exclusive. So much so that you won't find Heal's own furniture in any other shops or websites.

Naturally, we're justifiably proud of British craftmanship and wherever practical we commission local firms to bring our designs to life.
And at Heal’s you will be assured of great design, unique craftsmanship and the best materials. Plus, our collections are sourced only in small batches to make the desired piece just a little more exclusive.
The wood solids and veneers found in Heal’s furniture are temperate hardwoods either from North America or Europe. These prime grain timbers are carefully selected for colour and grain. Whilst every single wood is unique, some variations do occur. Here we have listed the most commonly used woods in our furniture ranges, illustrating each wood's unique natural colour characteristics.
Oak
Oak will mellow in colour slightly, giving it a slightly darker appearance with age and exposure to ambient daylight.
Walnut
Walnut is a very dark wood that over time tends to fade to a lighter colour.
Cherry Wood
Cherry wood is almost orange in colour and will overtime mature to a darker rich copper colour.
Maple
Maple is very light in colour and over time will mellow down to a slightly softer shade.
Beech
Beech is also very light in colour and over time will mellow down to a darker shade, more so than Maple.

Heal's Online Furniture Category
Shopping online at Heal's is easy and secure. Simply click through to the pages of interest and click on the 'add to basket' icon that relates to the product of your choice. When you have finished shopping go though to the checkout by clicking on you basket in the top right hand corner of the screen.
At the checkout stage you will be asked to confirm your billing and address details and you will have the opportunity to add a gift message to your order or input a promotion code.
If you are ordering non-furniture you will get a choice of the delivery service used. If you are ordering furniture the delivery charge will be automatically added to your basket.
You will then have to input your card details - all our transactions take place over a secure server. Please click to view our Security policy.
The dispatch time depends on the individual product availability. We aim to dispatch products that are in stock within 1-2 days. Please note that we do not part dispatch orders therefore please check each products availability before ordering. Once the order has been despatched the delivery time depends on the service you chose at the checkout. If you are ordering furniture or you have ordered fragile items, delivery will take 1-2 weeks as it will need to be delivered by a specialist courier.
