This Autumn Winter 2010 at Heal’s ‘Grey Matters’. Launching in-store and online from August, grey becomes the new black; a cool and contemporary collection of furniture and accessories in every shade of grey from pale pastel grey to dark charcoals bought to life with metallic silver and pewter touches.

Texture and pattern is key to this trend with leather, velvet, wool, silk and embellished fabrics adding a refined luxury to painted wood, glass and lacquer. Sophisticated and glitteringly stylish, this chic trend is about understated contemporary luxury. Items to look out for included the Luna chair by Matthew Hilton , the chill leather sofa , the Reflection sideboard, Kin nest of tables by Frank, and the new Mirror ball floor lamp from Tom Dixon.
Red continues to be an important colour this season and ‘Red Alert’, is Heal’s second seasonal trend offering a contemporary statement in furniture and home accessories.

Bold, daring and powerful, red which came into fashion this past Spring Summer in tomato shades has evolved in to darker, more elegant hues from berry to scarlet.

Key items to look out for included the iconic Louis console table in a red lacquer finish by John Reeves, the grand Lavish red velvet sofa and loveseat by John Jenkins and red flocked accessories by Johnny Egg.
