Poppy fields, geraniums and glossy cherries – we’re on a red kick for summer. We’ve named this our ‘Tomato Palette’, and it runs from zingy orange to deepest carmine. Nothing adds pep to a space like these shades, and they’re surprisingly easy to work with. For a bold statement, focus on one standout piece of contemporary furniture, such as Matthew Hilton’s Luna Chair or Orla Kiely’s Lusk Sofa in Melrose Pumpkin. Clarissa Hulse’s cushions in Paprika add richness to a living room, while our Red Cuckoo Clock is a witty additon to a sober office. Lighting is another easy way to introduce these hues - our Red Turned Table Lamp injects instant warmth and sophistication. Lastly, don’t be afraid to mix your reds. A spectrum of tones in a single space shows confidence, and adds depth to a room. Read Article 2: The Great British Summer |
