How to Care for Flocking

Flocked accessories and lighting is a great way to add colour and texture to your home. The flocking process involves depositing thousands of small fibre particles onto an item's surface giving it a velvety coating. Although quite hard wearing, flocking does need to be cared for in a particular way. See our guide below for a few tips.

Flocking Care

Flocking is made from nylon so it is more hard wearing than it looks and won't fade. Here are a few tips to keep your flocked furniture or accessory looking good.

If your flocked item gets slightly dented or the fibres have got flattened then just warm it with a hair dryer and you will be able to brush the fibres back up.

Dust can be simply hoovered up using an upholstery attachment on your hoover.

For general cleaning you can sponge flocking.
