Cire Trudon was founded by Charles Trudon in 1643. The Maison de Cire Trudon factories are noted as the oldest wax-producing factories in the world.

After originally providing the royal court of Louis XIV with candles - as well as most of the great churches of France - the company soon became a leader in its field.

Now the manufacture distributes its vegetable wax candles across the world, still emblazoned with their signature, trademarked logo. To this day, Cire Trudon is still the sole candle provider to a number of churches in France - with many burning their produce as far back as the 17th century.

The brand was successfully relaunched by Ramdane Touhami in 2006, to which it continues its unprecedented growth and success.
