Ferruccio Laviani
Ferruccio Laviani was born in Cremona in 1960. Laviani studied both architecture and design at the polytechnic institute in Milan, graduating with a degree in architecture in 1986.
Ferruccio Laviani is part of a generation of young Italian designers who came to prominence in the early 1990’s when the Memphis movement made its mark on international design. Laviani went on to design whimsical, colourful and fun furniture and lighting. In 1991 Ferruccio Laviani started to collaborate with Kartell for whom he has become consultant and Artistic Director.
Ferruccio Laviani is an ELLE DECO International Design Award Winner at the 2005 Design and Decoration Awards for Light Product Design.
