Label was founded in 1991 by Gerard Van Den Berg. The company makes contemporary easy chairs, swivel chairs and sofas. The timeless designs are characterised by the soft leather upholstery and inviting shapes. When Gerard van den Berg designed his first models for the Label collection, each model had an individual identity and distinctive character owing to the use of honest, simple materials in combination with straightforward, original styling and mellow, warm colours. Label is exclusively stocked by Heal's in the UK. In the course of his long career, Gerard van den Berg has been the recipient of such prestigious awards as the Kho Liang award (1984), the Mobilia innovation award (1990), the Interior Decoration award (1991), and the Best Dutch Furniture Design award (in 1984 and 1997).
