Heal's Discovers Butterfly Drum Lampshade By Maria Hatling. Maria Hatling grew up in Norway but now lives and works in London. '''As a child, most of my summers were spent visiting my grandparents,' she recalls. 'They lived way up in the north of Norway, in a small fishing village within the Arctic Circle, where the midnight sun made the summer nights seem endless. My grandpa was a fisherman and the kindest person in my world. The Fishes print I created for Heals Discovers wasinspired by him, and the colours I chose for my Butterflies print were inspired by the wild meadow flowers I used to pick as a child.' This playful lampshade by Maria Hatling, features a repeated butterfly print in a vibrant colour palette.

Part of Heal's Discovers, the Sketch range by Maria Hatling includes specially designed prints, cushions, lampshades and rugs. While Sketch evokes Maria's Norwegian roots, all the fabrics used were sourced from British mills and printed in the north of England.
