Poole Pottery was founded in 1873 on Poole quayside, Dorset, England. The company continued to produce pottery by hand before moving its factory operations away from the quay in 1999. Since then, Poole Pottery has produced some of the UK's most prolific visionaries, designers and ceramicists. They have played an important role in many art and design movements throughout the centuries, including Victorian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Modernism - to name a few. The company is now renowned for its excellence in design and commitment to developing innovative collections.
