Egyptian Cotton - Made from fine, 100% Egyptian combed cotton, and is of the finest quality.

Sateen - Usually made of cotton, the fabric has a sheen to the surface and a softer feel.

Silk - Naturally hypoallergenic and, being a natural fibre, is excellent for keeping warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer. Silk is also said to be beneficial to the condition of your hair and skin.

Linen - A natural fibre obtained from the flax plant, linen fibres are considered stronger and more lustrous than cotton. Linen is cool and absorbent.

Thread Counts

Thread count denotes the number of threads per square inch and gives you a good indicator of the quality of the linen. The higher the thread count the softer and more lustrous the fabric, it's also more durable and less prone to shrinkage. The more popular cottons will be around 150TC, while higher quality sheets will start at 180TC. Any bed linen above 200TC brings you a more luxurious fabric quality.

Our ranges are available in various different thread counts, starting from around 180TC and going up to 600TC.

Caring for your Bed linen

Depending on the material, washing and care instructions will vary. However, all of Heal’s bedlinen ranges come complete with care instructions.

All of our bedlinen can be purchased either online or from one of our stores across the UK.
