Heal's has a worldwide reputation as a design led retailer, established in the early 20th Century from an understanding of the value and potential that good design delivers. Ambrose Heal (1872-1959) introduced the idea of collaborating with established and up-and-coming designers, commissioning designs and bringing their work to a wider audience. This tradition still exists today, in the form of Heal's Discovers.

Designing and developing products is a time consuming business, but the rewards are significant to our customers and business alike. Understanding the contribution that good design brings, Heal's invest in a number of ways - our in-house design team, iconic furniture design from around the world and a selection of exclusive pieces from acclaimed designers - available only through Heal's.

From established designers we hold many design classics by Ray and Charles Eames, Verner Panton, Philippe Starck, Tom Dixon, to name but a few. We are also proud to have exclusive designs by respected designers including Gerard van den Berg, John Reeves and Matthew Hilton.
