Site Visit
The first meeting takes place at the client’s property to discuss the project. The designer will gather practical information regarding each room’s usage, preferred style and how the design might reflect this.
This gives clients the opportunity to discuss furniture, colour schemes and lighting requirements. The interior designer will take full measurements of each room and any windows requiring treatments. The designer will take photographs of each room and details of existing furniture that the client wishes to incorporate into a design scheme.
The designer will also discuss budgets, time-scales and any special requirements the client may have at this initial site visit.
Design Stage
After the site visit the design process begins. During this time the designer may contact a client’s architect in order to gather more information about the property.
All design plans will be drawn up using a CAD (computer aided design) package; allowing the designer to create several layouts drawn to scale showing the potential of the client’s space.
The designer will also create a mood board for each room with product images and samples; giving the client a clear idea of themes and colour schemes proposed.
Formal Presentation
Once the designs have been completed the client is invited to the Design Studio in the Tottenham Court Road store. The designer will present the client with the entire room scheme for their approval.
Estimates
The designer will create an itemised estimate for the customer. This is a comprehensive estimate which will include all fitting charges where applicable.
Project Management
Once the estimate has been signed off, the designer will manage the entire project. This includes price negotiations, communication with suppliers, managing the ordering process and collecting small accessory items for the project. The designer will check all delivery schedules and keep the client informed of progress along the way.
Once all products have been delivered to the Heal’s warehouse, the design team will organise delivery to the property. If the client is based overseas, the design team can hold keys for the property, and be present on the day of delivery, making sure all the furniture is in place. The design team handles all maintenance of a project making the process simple and stress free for the client.
Fee's
The Heal’s Interior Design Studio charges a non refundable fee of £300 per room. For large projects the client will be supplied with an individual quotation for the design scheme.

“The Heals Interior design service took care of my every need. I am a busy working mother with 2 small children and I really needed a bit of extra help getting my house looking great. Heal’s helped me plan each room to an agreed budget. The end result made me realise that a family house can be stylish and functional at the same time”
Fiona Edwards
Market Researcher
“I was in need of some help planning my new riverside apartment and wanted to try and achieve a sleek, minimal, timeless design. The Heal’s Interior Design team showed me the Ligne Roset range of furniture and mixed it together with Heal’s own brand furniture and lighting. We have achieved a super slick look. They planned everything from the initial design to being there when the furniture was put in place; it was a pleasure working with them”
