Rugs
Every room needs a focus, a special feature that draws your attention. From hand-tufted to hand-knotted, from loud and proud to discreetly minimalist, you're sure to find a rug to suit your needs at Heal's. We sell a vast assortment of designs in our stores and online at heals.co.uk, with an extended range in our Tottenham Court Road store.
When choosing which rug is best suited for you, we recommend you consider the following:
The proportions of your room. Think about the size of the rug and where you would like to place it. Too big and it looks like wall-to-wall carpeting. Too small and it may not have the impact you were hoping for. A general rule of thumb is to leave a gap of 8-12 inches from the edge of a rug to a piece of furniture or wall.
Complementing your furniture, upholstery or wall colour. Light colours tend to give a feeling of space whereas bolder shades jump out and demand attention, making rooms feel cosier.
