To help our customers in their buying decision we now have a customer review function live on our website. Featuring on every product page, all reviews come direct through to our online team, so by giving us your feedback we will be able to improve on our designs and serve our customers better.
Writing a review is a great way to share your knowledge. Customers love to hear about real life experiences and opinions as they really help in the decision-making process. After all, having bought and used the product, you are the expert. Your feedback will help to give a more all-round, unbiased view of the product and how it functions, a view that cannot be gained by simply viewing the product online or in-store.
Writing a review not only helps other customers in their decision-making but it also gives us valuable feedback about our products and the service you received. Furthermore, by writing a review it encourages other customers to do the same, so the next time you shop with us you may benefit from another customer's review.
Simply navigate to the product you wish to review and click onto the product page. You will notice on the right hand side, where the product description lives, there is a tab called reviews (see image below).
Click on this tab and it will open down the page to show any other reviews previously submitted. To write your own review, click on the submit a review link (see below) and fill in the relevant fields.
Firstly make sure you are honest. People are relying on your expert review to help them decide whether to purchase or not. Also no product is perfect, and no product is totally useless - do your best to give a rounded review. Donít be afraid to have a bit of fun and let your personality come through - and donít be intimidated by other customer reviews. If your opinion differs, say so.
To help you write your product review here are a few questions you could ask yourself:
- What prompted you to buy the product?
Did a specific feature of the product encourage you to purchase it? You may have seen the product in an advert or a write up about it in a magazine. Did you get sent one of our brochures? Or perhaps a friend bought it and recommended it to you.
What is your opinion of the quality of the materials used and the finish of the product? Does it fulfil its function in terms of durability and suitability?
- Does it look the way you expected it to?
Is the description and image on the website accurate? Is there a distinguishing feature of the item that is not visible in the image?
- How did the product perform?
Does it fulfil its purpose as it should? What is good or bad about the way it functions? Is there anything that could be done to make the product perform better?
- Why did you decide to review the product?
Was it the first time you had seen a coffee table with a built-in magazine holder, for example? Did you have a good/bad experience of the product? Write about your experience but donít forget to give a rounded review, itís easy to get carried away with one point that stands out e.g. you rented an apartment for a week and were told it had a garden, but when you arrived there was only a concrete driveway. You still need to mention what the apartment was like inside.
We do not pay for customer reviews. This ensures you are getting reviews from people who genuinely want to share their opinions, good or bad. Occasionally our buyers pick out their favourite products to write about and these are tagged with an expert badge on the review.
Please note that all reviews go through a moderation process before they are published. This can take a few days. Reviews are moderated for irrelevant or inappropriate content, which means that some reviews will not be shown. To ensure your review is successful it must be about the product (please refer to the above points for useful tips on how to write a successful review). Any customer service related enquiry such as late delivery or faulty products should be directed to email@example.com. Reviews including swear words, a competitor's name or details, personal details or price/promotion information will also not be published.
