Heal's has a worldwide reputation as a design-led retailer, established in the early 20th Century from an understanding of the value and potential that good design delivers.

Ambrose Heal (1872-1959) introduced the idea of collaborating with established and up-and-coming designers, commissioning designs and bringing their work to a wider audience. This tradition still exists today, in the form of Heal's Discovers.
