Located on the first floor of the Heal’s flagship store on Tottenham Court Road, this totally individual and charming 100-cover restaurant offers a refreshing and light-hearted approach, putting the fun into casual dining. Offering modern all-day comfort food in a unique setting, Meals is open during store hours for breakfast, elevenses, lunch, light bites and weekend brunch and is set to delight shoppers and diners alike, seven days a week.
The regularly changing menu showcases Peyton’s unmistakeable hallmark, championing the use of quality seasonal ingredients. Head chef Tim Payne has a wealth of experience having worked as executive chef for Marco Pierre White’s restaurants and for Pierre Koffman at La Tante Claire.
Meal’s is all about relaxed informal dining in a stimulating environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The a la carte menu simply bursts with satisfying sounding dishes such as courgette fritters with a vine tomato sauce and Dorset crab with glass noodles, pomelo and chilli to start or main courses of grilled cod, broad beans, chorizo and Paris browns; sautéed free range chicken with sweet corn and pepper salad; and the ultimate comforting dish, macaroni cheese.
Meals is also big on brunch and offers a special all-day weekend menu for all the family, from 8 to 80. Set to be a firm favourite among visitors to the capital as well as Heal’s shoppers, options include toasted English crumpets with creamed cheese and smoked salmon; Cumberland sausages with fried eggs, bubble and squeak; corned beef hash with double egg and HP sauce. Alternatively, pancakes topped with bananas, walnut and honey as well as desserts such as apple pie with fresh cream and lemon tart will end brunch on a truly high note.
For those looking for a distinctly individual and unique venue for a special event or party, Meals can be booked exclusively during the evenings.
